Kat Driscoll scored 53.730 to finish just outside the medals in 4th, in women's trampoline finals at the London Prepares test event from the North Greenwich Arena. The final saw an unexpected fall from China's He Wenna, allowing Canada's Rosanna Maclennan to take the gold with 54.250.

Having already qualified an individual place for GB by making the final at the 2011 World Championships, Kat was using the test event to gain experience of the Olympic arena, and help stake her claim to be selected for that spot in the summer.

Kat Driscoll: “Todays been a really positive experience for me. I had a personal best in the pre-lims so that’s a really big boost. There's lots of positives I can take away from competing here, getting used to the arena, understanding where everything is and also experiencing the crowd and their great support. Overall I’m really pleased and the scores I’ve posted in the pre-lims and finals should give me the lead in the selection for the Games, so all looks good.”

Qualifying

In the women’s trampoline qualifications, Kat Driscoll was flying the flag for Great Britain. She had a long wait as the penultimate trampolinist up in the second group. She performed her set routine beautifully, giving her a score of 46.710 and 6th place going into her voluntary. In her second routine Kat stepped up onto the podium to a big cheer from the home crowd and she did not disappoint her fans. She performed a fantastic routine which included 2 triple somersaults to score 54.390 for a total of 101.100, qualifying her in third into the final. He Wenna from China looked unstoppable in qualifying, producing two flawless routines for a total of 102.454.

Finals

WOMEN- Kat looked in good form in the final; she produced another strong routine to score 53.730, however it wasn’t quite enough to push into the medals as she finished just outside in 4th. He Wenna looked strong in qualifying but had an unfortunate fall towards the end of her routine. The consistent Rosanna Maclennan took the top spot with 54.520, Lenders (NED) in silver with 54.050, a brilliant finish as she qualified down in 8th, with Rente (POR) taking the bronze.
