Copenhagen will host the latest stage of the CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup from Friday to Sunday as qualification for the London 2012 Olympic Games continues in the Danish capital.
Some of Europe's top teams will descend on the city following weeks of preparation by the Organizers and CEV.
The women’s contest will see teams from Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Slovenia and Denmark compete. Austria travel to the Scandinavian country with the most experience, however they will be without Doris Schwaiger after she suffered an injury to her back which means she will be side-lined for two months. Cornelia Rimser steps into her position alongside Doris’ sister Stefanie.
The top three countries from each gender will move onto the next stage of the tournament and move a step closer to Horse Guards Parade where the London 2012 Olympic Games beach volleyball tournament will take place next year.
