World Championship silver medallist, Jade Jones, made happy a return to South Korea by achieving a podium finishe at the prestigious Chuncheon Open.
Jones, 18 from Flint, collected bronze in the -57kg category just over two months after her own success in Gyeongju.
The event featured 1,500 players and staff from 50 nations.
The duo, plus the other six members of the GB squad, have remained in Korea for an extended training camp plus participation at the Goseong tournament this weekend.
"In terms of performance I couldn't have faulted the guys," said GB Performance Director Gary Hall.
"We had an emotional roller coaster two or three days after the death of Sarah Stevenson's father. And the fact that our coach and Sarah's husband, Steve Jennings, returned to the UK.
"All the athletes were emotionally affected and send their love and best wishes to Sarah.
"I would personally like to offer my sincere condolences to Sarah and her family at this time and I extend this message from all at GB Taekwondo and from the Academy team.
"So, had our preparations been right and given we are only in our 'specific variation phase' of training then possibly we could have taken three gold medals at the right time.
"But we got out of the event what we came for. The guys at -80kg (Lutalo Muhammad, Andrew Deer, Ruebyn Richards and Damon Sansum) all acquitted themselves well and competed really well too.
"With all players now successfully acclimatised we can continue to work through our athlete development areas and continue the hard work set out in the remaining camps schedule."
Dorchester born Aaron Cook, who left the GB Academy programme to pursue a solo training regime upto London 2012, made a surprise appearance representing Scotland for the first time. He finished with a bronze medal in the -80kg division.
