We – the Judge Committee – have put a busy year behind us, and we have got nice feedbacks from our Conference in Rome which seems to have been interesting and informative for our judges present. You will find a summing up from it in this issue of the Newsletter.

English netball fans received a very welcome piece of news today, as Netball Malawi confirmed that the inspirational Mary Waya will be part of the Malawi side which travels to England in April to take part in the first international test series between the two countries played on home soil.

The top two seeds will contest the final of the Women's Des Pyramides Open after favourite Isabelle Stoehr and second seed Jaclyn Hawkes overcame their semi-final opponents in the $17,250 WISPA World Tour squash event at Club des Pyramides in Le Port Marly, France.

The fourth ODI between England women and New Zealand was abandoned due to inclement weather. After a full first innings the rain arrived just after the interval and continued until the umpires called the game off at 5pm.

Even Mother Nature could not prevent Lorena Ochoa's runaway victory in the inaugural HSBC Women's Champions at Singapore's Tanah Merah Country Club. Despite the intervention of torrential rain and thunder storms the world number one capped an unbelievably successful debut for the US$2 million tournament.
