OFTERSCHWANG, Germany (March 6) – World Cup downhill champion and overall leader Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) finished eighth in giant slalom to carry a 414 point lead in the overall standings into Saturday's slalom, the final race before World Cup Finals. Austrian Kathrin Zettel won and now holds a 41-point advantage in the giant slalom standings over Tanja Poutianen of Finland, who finished third.
