The BRITS 2009 and SNO!zone, the UK’s largest indoor snow slope operator, are pleased to announce their continued partnership on and off the slopes at this year’s BRITS when they take the title rights for the SNO!zone British Halfpipe Championships and host the SNO!zone Drum and Bass night in association with Cushe and Metrosnow.co.uk.
The SNO!zone Freeski Halfpipe Championships will kick start the weeks competition on Monday 30th March, with the Snowboard Halfpipe Championships taking place on Wednesday 1st April. 20ft airs and back to back 9’s were among the tricks showcased in 2008 and with the Winter Olympics just around the corner and snowboarders, Dan Wakeham, Ben Kilner, and freeskier Paddy Graham in the line-up, the 2009 SNO!zone Halfpipe Championships promises to be a belter!
SNO!zone’s partnership with the Brits as Halfpipe sponsor is strengthened back in the UK with the three SNO!zone slopes playing host to the British Snowboard and Freeski UK Tour. SNO!zone also supports and cultivates the talent of over 50 promising riders from grass roots level, many of whom are competing at this year’s Brits, including future Olympians Zoe Gillings and Dom Harington plus Murray Buchan, Jamie Nicholls and Claire Frost. Drum and Bass heavyweight DJ’s, Mickey Finn & Darren Jay along with Bushman, Seb Kern and MC Rhymes will be making the BRITS bounce when they unleash their tearout beats at the Riders Palace on Wednesday night. Digging deep in the crates they’ll be dropping some classic jump up tunes and hot hot dubplates, including some exclusives from Mickey’s own Urban Takeover label, leaving you always wanting one more rewind!
