Mikaela Shiffrin (Vail, CO) led a string of five U.S. podiums in the final NorAm races in Panorama Thursday. Anna Marno (Steamboat Springs, CO) and Kiley Staples (Park City, UT) were second and third in the women's giant slalom.
Shiffrin was the fastest girl down the hill with a combined GS time of 2:15.56, almost two seconds faster than Marno in second, who finished with a time of 2:17.45. Staples finished third with a time of 2:17.75, followed by Julia Ford (Plymouth, NH) in fourth.
Thursday's win marked Shiffrin's second NorAm win and fourth podium of the series.
The NorAm series will move to Sunday River, ME for women’s giant slalom and slalom races and to Val St. Come, QC for two men's slalom events Jan. 3-4.
