Hannah Kearney (Norwich, VT) made good on her promise to be back on top of the podium, winning a dual moguls World Cup Saturday to extend her lead in the overall points.
"I didn't like being off of it," Kearney said. "I made up my mind to have better first runs after yesterday."
Friday was the first time this season that Kearney finished outside the top three, finishing fourth, and she drew from the confidence of her past results to climb back.
"I had the advantage of going at end of run order and I skied clean and fast. That gave me the choice of courses for the rest of day," which Kearney said also helped.
In addition she took a different line than yesterday and made the adjustment between the dual and individual format, too.
After Saturday's competition, Kearney and Heil are separated by nearly one hundred points in the World Cup standings.
The moguls squad now moves to Norway for moguls and dual moguls Feb. 20 and 21.
