The USA's Jessica Jerome (Park City, UT) and Lindsey Van (Park City, UT) finished side-by-side in sixth and seventh Saturday in the Braunlage Continental Cup. Jerome and Van were part of a U.S. top 15 trio in the top 10 with Abby Hughes (Park City, UT) 10th.Coline Mattel of France won the competition with 97.5 and 96.5 meter jumps.
Jerome and Van continued to jump neck and neck, posting side-by-side results once again. Jerome came out ahead, jumping consistently, with a pair of 83.5 meter jumps. Van also posted two solid rides of 78.5 and 86.5 meters.
Mattel had the day's longest ride of 97.5 meters coupled with a 96.5 meter jump to clinch the win. Austria's Daniela Irashcko and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger rounded out the podium in second and third.
Johnson landed in 14th with jumps of 71.5 and 78.0 meters to total three USA women in the top 15.
Jerome and Van sit in third and fourth in the overall Continental Cup standings. Irashcko holds the lead with Mattel in second.
The women will be flying off the jump again on Sunday in Braunlage.
