Britain’s snowboarders have once again proved to be world class this weekend with top four positions for Snowsport GB team riders in top level events in both Korea and Austria.
Zoe Gillings from Arbory on the Isle of Man began snowboarding’s excellent weekend with fourth in the World Cup snowboardcross event at Sungwoo, Korea on Friday. She beat World number one Lindsey Jacobellis in the first heat and finished second in the second heat against strong opposition to secure her place in the final.
Her fourth place in the final, was her best result in three and a half years. “It’s great to be back reaching the finals again,” she said, “a World Cup win is firmly in my sights.”
