Twickenham skier Chemmy Alcott’s run of national giant slalom titles came to a halt yesterday (Thursday) when she finished an excellent fourth in the Swiss National championship event at Splugen.
In a high class field of over 100 racers, Alcott finished just 0.32s behind winner and fellow World Cup competitor Fraenzi Aufdenblatten after two runs.
Earlier this week, Alcott won the French national championship in giant slalom, and five days earlier, won the Croatian national event. She has the opportunity to go one further next week at the British Land National championships at Meribel in France
