Canada’s Best Synchronized Skaters Invade Windsor

OTTAWA, ON: Approximately 1,000 members of the synchronized skating community from across the country will descend on Windsor, Ont., for the 2012 Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships. The WFCU Centre will host Canada’s top teams from February 23-25, 2012 as they compete for national titles and berths at the 2012 ISU Synchronized Skating Championships

“This event is one of the most exciting competitions we host in our season. With large amounts of skaters all in the same city and a team atmosphere unlike any other skating event, this event is sure to entertain the crowds in Windsor,” said William Thompson, Skate Canada CEO. “The fans at the WFCU Centre can look forward to an energetic vibe as our synchronized teams show why they are some of the best in the world.”

Teams will compete for top honours in the senior, junior, open, intermediate, and novice categories. The top two senior teams will represent Canada at the 2012 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden from April 13-14, 2012.

Single day ticket prices are $15 for adults and $8 for children aged 12 and under (plus applicable surcharges).
