British Snowboard Team to compete at London Freeze
Winter is set to hit the UK early this year with the introduction of a brand new snowsport and music festival, Freesports on 4 FREEZE sponsored by LG.
From the 23-26th October 2008, Battersea Power Station in London will be transformed into a real life ski resort featuring the biggest real snow jump ever made in the UK with a live music line up to match. The world’s best snowboarders will descend on the banks of the River Thames to take part in the highest profile snow and music festival ever seen in the UK. Confirmed riders include British Snowboard Team members Dan Wakeham (26, Plymouth), Dom Harington (24, Leeds), Sam Cullum (20, Bracknell), Ben Kilner (20, Banchory), Angus Leith (20, Aviemore) and Jack Shackelton (20, Newbury).
Two times Olympic medal winner and Grenade Team Rider Danny Kass (USA) and Winter X Games and World Cup Tour winner Antti Autti (Finland) are just two of the field of international riders to have confirmed their attendance for the World Cup competition on Saturday 25th October.
