I have recently completed the Marathon des Sables 2008 (150 miles) and the Jungle Marathon 2008 (150 miles) where I finished as the second girl. The next challenge I am taking part in is the Yukon Arctic Ultra 430 miles in February 2009. It is a 430 mile self sufficient race pulling a sled across the Yukon in Canada in ten days with temperatures reaching a low of -60.
The race itself will be extremely tough but it will be such a unique experience being in that environment.
I am raising money for charity through all the events I do and so far have raised £9000 for Facing Africa (www.facingafrica.org), a medical charity fighting the terrible effects of the NOMA virus. I have a further three events so far planned for 2009.
