NSW’s Katrina Wright has jumped to the top of the national rankings following her breathtaking victory at last week’s Australian Indoor Championships at Tweed Heads.
For the first time in 16 months, a new number one has been crowned in the women’s singles game, with Wright dislodging Cabramatta’s Karen Murphy, who slides to number two, from the coveted spot.
Wright’s St Johns Park teammate Julie Keegan rises to number three, while Invermay’s Bec Quail drops two places to number four.
Former Scottish internationals Joyce Lindores and Kay Moran round out the top five, along with Delhi bound representative Sharyn Renshaw, with the trio locked on 117.50 points apiece.
