On the eve of the French Open, No.1-ranked Caroline Wozniacki won a WTA-leading fourth title of the year, battling back to defeat Peng Shuai in the final of the inaugural Brussels Open, 26 63 63.
In their first event together, Andrea Hlavackova and Galina Voskoboeva took the doubles title, beating No.2 seeds Klaudia Jans and Alicja Rosolska in the final, 36 60 105. After losing the first set Hlavackova and Voskoboeva rolled through the second in just 23 minutes then comfortably took the match tie-break. Hlavackova won her seventh WTA doubles title, Voskoboeva her third.
