Wozniacki wins BNP Paribas Tennis Championship title

Caroline Wozniacki completed a dream week in Indian Wells on Sunday afternoon, following up Friday night's 61 62 semifinal win over Maria Sharapova with a 61 26 63 victory over Marion Bartoli to win her 14th and equal-biggest career WTA title at the BNP Paribas Open.

Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina claimed the women’s doubles title at the 2011 BNP Paribas Open with a 6-0, 7-5 victory over eighth-seeded Americans Bethanie Mattek-Sands and  Meghann Shaughnessy.

Mirza and Vesnina raced through the opening set in 24 minutes before the Americans countered with three straight games to start the second. Mattek-Sands and Shaughnessy broke for a second time to build a 5-1 lead, but the Indian-Russian duo came back strong, winning the final six games to clinch the title.

Mirza has now won 10 doubles titles, while Vesnina has won four. They were teaming up for just the third time in tour-level competition, reaching the quarter-finals at Dubai and Doha before claiming the title here.
