Why Germany can't go to 1/8 of the World Cup for the second time in a row?

Why Germany can't go to 1/8 of the World Cup for the second time in a row?

The German national football team, one of the most successful in the world over decades, failed to reach the knockout stage of the two most recent World Cups against any prediction, including the ones made by the bookies, with any bd betting site with Bkash in 2023 being no exception. The first recent failure came at the 2018 World Cup for the first time in 80 years. This marked the second time in history that Germany had failed to advance past the round of 16 at the World Cup, with the first time occurring back in 1938. And now, with their failure in Qatar, they count for three.

The reasons behind the failure

There are several reasons why Germany struggled at the 2018 tournament. One factor was the team's lack of preparation. Germany's manager, Joachim Löw, made several surprise selections for the tournament, including leaving veteran players off the squad, something that caused turmoil in the team and affected its morale. This also led to a lack of cohesion and experience within the team, as many of the players were making their World Cup debuts.

One significant reason for that failure was their inability to score goals.

Despite having a talented attacking lineup, Germany struggled to find the back of the net. The team only scored four goals in their group stage matches, and was unable to score any goals against South Korea in their decisive final match.

Furthermore, the midfield was also a problem as the team's midfielders failed to provide the necessary creative spark to unlock the well-trained defenses they met in their way. This led to a low number of scoring opportunities and fewer minutes of possession, which put additional pressure on the defense.

The Qatar 2022 upset

And now in Qatar, where once again Germany failed to advance past the group stage of the 2022 WC. This shocking and disappointing result has led many to wonder what went wrong for the German team again.

The answer is similar to the 2018 one. The German team struggled to find a cohesive attacking style and often looked disjointed and lacking in ideas on the pitch. This could be because the team was made up of new players who may not have had as much time to gel and develop an understanding of each other's playing styles.

Their inability to defend effectively was key also as the team conceded a total of nine goals in just three group stage matches. In addition to issues with team chemistry and defense, Germany may have also struggled at the 2022 World Cup due to a lack of quality in the midfield. It seemed to lack the creativity and vision in midfield needed to create scoring chances.

Overall, it's difficult to pinpoint a single reason for Germany's failure at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. It's likely that a combination of factors in all thirds of the field and perhaps even poor coaching, all contributed to the team's early exit from both tournaments. Regardless of the reasons, Germany's second failure in a row at the World Cup will no doubt be a source of frustration and disappointment once again for both the team and its fans, and will serve as a reminder that even the most successful and talented teams are not immune to failure.
