Britain’s Water Polo clubs are ready to challenge for national pride this weekend as they compete at the British Water Polo Championships in Manchester.
In the women’s event, City of Manchester will be looking to continue their successful streak and retain their national title.
This competition will allow key athletes to prepare for the women’s LEN European Nations Trophy which is set to be held in Manchester this summer.
The sport of Water Polo was recently dealt a blow with a 50% cut in their funding from UK Sport and this event will be the first chance the Water Polo community will have had to come together and show their skill and drive as they attempt to raise private funds.
