Diamonds vice-captain Natalie von Bertouch has won netball’s highest individual honour the 2010 Liz Ellis Diamonds at the Netball Australia Award tonight.
Capping off a stellar 2010, which included captaining the Adelaide Thunderbirds to their first ANZ Championship premiership, von Bertouch won the prestigious award, as well as the Australian ANZ Championship Player of the Year accolade.
A dynamic centre court player with great attacking and defensive skills, von Bertouch worries any opposition with her determination and tenacity.
At only 28 years-of-age von Bertouch has already racked up 59 Test caps for Australia, with the natural born-leader expected to play into a century of caps as she continues to grow in stature through the mid-court.
Fellow 2010 Thunderbirds co-captain Mo’onia Gerrard also was honoured winning the Holden International player of the Year, for the second time in two years.
