The squad selected includes a mix of experienced U21 players, players new to this age group and three players making their international debut. With nine players from last years U21 European Silver medal winning squad the debutantes, Nic White from Poynton, Felicia Bambgose of Old Loughtonians and Catherine Horn of Durham University will have good experience around them for their first taste of international hockey.
Head Coach Martin Rodgers said “This three match series against Germany will provide a good test for this England U21 Group. There are a number of U21 players who are currently involved in the Senior Squad and this gives a great opportunity for other players to step up and make their mark at this level”
With the German Team current U21 European Champions and Junior World Cup Silver medallists they should provide England with some tough opposition in preparation for the U21 Four Nations event in Valencia later this month.
