Defending gold medallist Natalie Jones broke her own British record by 0.52 seconds to take bronze in the women's 200m individual medley (SM6) behind USA’s Miranda Uhl who also snatched the Briton’s world record.
"I am obviously disappointed,” said Jones. “This is my main event and I missed out on gold and lost my world record. But I will be back. I want to win it back in London.”
Thirteen-year-old Eleanor Simmonds finished fifth and Nyree Lewis sixth in the same event.
Speaking of the experience, 2012 hopeful Simmonds said: "It was scary coming out there. The crowd tonight is huge and the largest I have competed in front of. It has been an amazing experience and I hope that it will help with my other events."
