Dani King claimed the silver in the omnium, a superb return for the continually impressive endurance rider whilst Becky James and Jess Varnish were unable to progress to the final of the women's keirin.
Elsewhere, Dani King moved into second overall in the women’s omnium with a superb first place ride in the individual pursuit, averaging over 50km/h and well over half a second ahead of her nearest opponent. Becky James, who is gaining important experience after missing out on the European Championships, qualified for the second round of the women’s keirin through the repechage with Jess Varnish just missing out.
Dani King took sixth place in the scratch race, keeping her in second in the women’s omnium.
Becky James' kierin journey ended in second round with a fifth place finish in what has been a busy week for the 19 year-old. It was then the turn of the Scotsman who took the first race of the final before a period of rest as the women's omnium came to a close with Dani King finishing second in the 500m time trial to secure a silver medal in her first ever World Cup omnium.
