Dolomiti Superbike Junior

Less than one month to go! On Saturday 5^th July 2008 the 6^th UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships take place in Niederdorf – Hochpustertal. On Sunday 6^th July on the other hand, the 14^th edition of the classic Suedtirol Dolomiti Superbike is on schedule. And in between: the Suedtirol Dolomiti Superbike Junior Race, which has by now become a steady part of the traditional marathon race. As always it takes place the day before the Suedtirol Dolomiti Superbike and it is extremely popular amongst the youngsters, because they have the opportunity to bike around the local centre of Niederdorf in front of many experienced spectators. This year the „SDSB Junior Race“ will take place on Saturday at 1 pm, just one hour after the men’s start of the World Championships.


The prize giving will begin immediately after the award ceremony of the World Championships. This way the junior bikers can experience first hand the presence of the strongest MTB athletes in the world and the new world champions. The registrations can be carried out either online on the homepage www.dolomitisuperbike.com or in the OC office in the main square in Niederdorf on Saturday, 5^th July 2008. The registration fee is of € 10.00. There are 6 categories for the Dolomiti Superbike Junior Race:

1. age-classes 1993-1994 (6 km)
2. age-classes 1995-1996 (4 km)
3. age-classes 1997-1998 (4 km)
4. age-classes 1999- 2000 (2 km)
5. age-classes 2000- 2001 (2 km)
6. age-classes 2001 and younger (1 km)

The race is supported by the dairy factory „Mila“.
