The U.S. Women's Sitting Volleyball team shocked the host Netherlands in the gold medal match of the Eurocup, sweeping the Dutch, 25-16, 25-7, 25-12.
The large partisan crowd was never a factor as the U.S. Women's Sitting Team jumped out early and never let the host team in the match.
Leading the United States statistically was Katie Holloway (Lake Stevens, Wash.) and Brenda Maymon (Sellersburg, Ind.), each with 11 points. Lora Webster (Cave Creek, Ariz.) added nine points and Heather Erickson (Fayetteville, N.C.) and Nicole Millage (Champaign, Ill.) each scored eight.
