Saturday 23rd May was a beautiful day for all cycling enthusiasts from Rijssen and other parts of Europe. The weather was perfect as large numbers turned out to view more than 90 Elite women riders. This year the contestants came from Holland, Belgium, Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand all to race in a very testing 70km town centre race.
After the race began they attempted to break the race up but with 10 laps remaining to the finish a group of just 6 managed to pull away, this group inluded riders from Holland, Belgium and Vision 1's Dani King.
At the finish all of the girl sprinted with Annemiek Van Vleuten just in front of Dani and Sissy Beckering in 3rd.
After the podium prize Dani said 'I'm really pleased with how hard I rode still managing an attack at the finish'
The following day Dani King came 7th in a 80km crit' race in Butchen Holland where Katie Curtis, also of Vision 1 Racing came 31st.
