ISAF World Sailing Championships – Cascais
The ISAF World Sailing Championships – Cascais 2007 get underway this afternoon. The first events, both scheduled to start at 13.00hrs, are in the Tornado and Star classes, each fleet contesting two regattas.
In the Tornado class, 49 boats will be sailing the Cascais waters.
The Star class is divided into two fleets – blue and yellow – with 62 boats competing
The weather forecast for this afternoon is north winds between 15 and 16 knots and a sea swell of about 1.5 metres.
The ISAF World Sailing Championships - Cascais 2007 will see 1390 sailors and 941 boats from 76 countries competing across 11 classes.
