* Straight bets

* Exotic bets
With exotic bets you can either have parlays - such as wagering on the horse that will win in three consecutive races (these are called horizontal exotic bets) or you can have your wager placed on the exact order of winners in one specific race (these are called vertical exotic bets)
* Vertical exotic bets
With vertical exotic bets you have different options. An exacta bet is when you wager on the first and the second horses to finish the race. You predict which horse will come first and which one will come second. A trifecta bet is when you wager on the first three places - who will finish first, who will finish second and who will finish third. A superfecta bet, as it becomes clear from the previous ones, is when you wager on the first four places of the race -betting on which horse will finish first, which one will finish second, third and fourth.
