Top 25 on the LPGA Money List Committed to Play State Farm Classic
Field list shaping up to be the BEST in State Farm Classic history
SPRINGFIELD, IL - With seven weeks until the LPGA State Farm Classic, the 25 highest ranked players on the LPGA Money List have committed to playing in this year's tournament. The best golfers on tour will compete for the title, including Defending Champion, #9 ranked Cristie Kerr, at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, June 9-12.
Other top Money List leaders include Yani Tseng, Karrie Webb, Stacey Lewis, Sandra Gal, I.K. Kim, Michelle Wie, Jiyal Shin, Morgan Pressel, and Paula Creamer. Other notables you may see at the Classic include Brittany Lincicome, Angela Stanford, Juli Inkster, Kristy McPherson, Se Ri Pak and a local fan favorite, Christina Kim.
"This is the only opportunity in the Midwest for fans to see the women of the LPGA compete and the 2011 field is shaping up to be the best in our history," Executive Director Kate Peters said. "The Classic has become a tradition in Central Illinois and many of these players are a part of that. This is a family event like no other in Illinois and we're excited to kick off the 36th year."
