Top 24 athletes selected for National Team Training Centre

OTTAWA - Synchro Canada is pleased to announce that 24 athletes have been selected to train at the National Team Training Centre in Montreal, QC. The team features five members from this summer’s Olympic squad who finished fourth, eight members from the now-defunct National B Team and seven swimmers from the National Junior Team.
The decision to create a pool of 24 athletes was made to allow more swimmers the opportunity to train in a high excellence environment and have access to the best services and latest technology while preparing for international competitions. Training in a more competitive environment will allow for a greater number of swimmers being prepared for the 2012 Olympic Games.
The athletes were selected following a three-day trial and will now work with coaches Denise Sauve, Kasia Kulesza and Marietta Chen in preparation for the 3rd Synchro World Trophy in Madrid, Spain December 5-7, 2008.
