Viborg, Krim and Larvik won their second match in the women’s Champions League and remain spotless after the games on Saturday in Round 2. Larvik surprisingly won easily against FCK with Linn- Kristin Riegelhuth in their squad. Podravka took their first points.

Viborg HK – HC Leipzig 33:23 (19:10)
Easy victory for the title holder! Thanks to nine goals of Rikke Skov, Viborg didn’t have problems against the German champions. The match was decided already after 30 minutes as the distance was a comfortable nine-goal cushion already.
Even as the former Leipzig top star, Grit Jurack, is pregnant and cannot play for the Danes, Viborg had an easy task in front of 1,800 spectators, which was a season record so far.
For HC Leipzig it was the first defeat after nine consecutive victories in the Bundesliga and Champions League. HCL’s top scorer was Renate Urne, but none of the German players reached the level of a week ago when they won against Podravka.
Podravka Vegeta – Byasen HE 32:31 (13:16)
The 22 saves of goalkeeper Jelcic and the 10 goals of Pasicnik were key factors in the first victory of Podravka this season. Nevertheless, the match was very tense until the final seconds. Byasen were missing goalkeeper Grimsbö who is currently ill, but the Croatians could not count on key players either. Camilla Herrem was Trondheim’s top scorer with nine goals

Regarding Byasen’s line player, Marit Malm Frafjord, Danish media alleged that she will be transferred to Viborg the next season. As Podravka – like Leipzig – have two points now, Byasen remain pointless after two matches.
