THE WORLDS ON TOUR
On Saturday 4 August the Worlds on Tour Trailer (pulled by the World Championships Nissan Navara) and an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team will be parking up in the Osprey car park opposite the Hub in the Forest, at Glentress Mountain Bike Centre, just outside Peebles in the Scottish Borders. The Worlds on Tour Trailer will then move on to the Merida Marathon Event Village, at Selkirk Rugby Club on Saturday evening (4 August) and Sunday morning (5 August).
The visits are intended to raise the profile of the first ever Mountain Bike World Championships to be staged in the UK and promote interest in the sport at all levels. There's no better place than Glentress to find mad keen bikers!
Bike and outdoor enthusiasts will be able to find out more about the World Championships; watch extreme race footage from UCI Mountain Bike World Cup events at Fort William; enquire about travel and accommodation; find out how to ride the World Championships courses; pick up some on the spot giveaways; or just hang out and have a chat about mountain biking in Scotland over a coffee or a can of Red Bull.
