Dakar (SEN) - Lausanne (SUI) The jury for the Golden Lion of 2008 Award honoured the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) with the African Integration Award yesterday in Dakar (SEN).
This prestigious distinction, highly-coveted by more than one institution, recognises the collective efforts of the FIG and the National Committee for the Promotion of Gymnastics in Senegal and its President Ms Albertine Goncalves toward the promotion and development of our sport and education.
The Golden Lion of 2008 Award will be presented to the President of the Republic of Senegal, His Highness Abdoulaye Wade and FIG President Prof. Bruno Grandi (ITA) at a ceremony traditionally organised at the Daniel Sorano National Theatre in Dakar.
