Winner of the Women's Singles title at the Volkswagen China Open in Shenzhen, Wen Jia is the player to make the most notable progress in the higher echelons of the Women's World Rankings.
The 22 year old who was crowned national champion in 2008, climbs from no.55 to no.30.
In so doing achieves another milestone in her career; the success in Shenzhen was her first ever ITTF Pro Tour title, the World Ranking is the highest of her career.
Required to compete in the qualification stage in Shenzhen, she negotiated the first phase of proceedings in style, before accounting for whole line of celebrated names.
She beat Singapore's Li Jiawei, Japan's Sayaka Hirano and Singapore's Sin Beibei to reach the semi-final stage, before accounting for colleague Guo Yue and a second Singaporean in the guise of Feng Tianwei to secure the top prize.
