Swift Racing is looking to find a new title sponsor for its team for 2009.
The teams head sponsors are finding times very hard and have had to pull away from the team for the time being. I understand their situation, I worked in business myself before coming into team management and I know what they are going through. They have been nothing but supportive of us throughout their sponsorship and without their belief we wouldn't have achieved so much this season. Its not going to be easy to replace them, but I'm determined to give it 100% to try to keep this team running said Stefan Wyman, team manager of the team.
He added Ive run this team for 5 years and dont want this to end now. We had huge plans for 2009, with strong riders ready to join us. I really felt that 2009 was the year we could start to challenge for major honours.
This year Swift Racing has had good success with 21 race wins, in both road and cyclo-cross. The most recent coming at the weekend with Gabby Day in the first National Cup cyclo-cross races in the UK.
Ive told my riders the situation, and I hope to be able to bring them some more positive news in the very near future. We are in talks with several interest parties and are keen to hear from anyone else that may be interested in getting involved with the team.
