The American duo enjoyed a successful season in 2009 winning the events in Marseille, France and Phuket, Thailand, with Kessy picking up the Most Outstanding Player award at both. The pair are favourites to win this competition which has a purse of US$10,000. Other World Tour teams slated to take part include 23rd ranked Marie Lessard and Annie Martin of Canada and 26th ranked Bibi Candelas and Mayra Garcia of Mexico alongside the up-and-coming pair of Yarleen Santiago and Dariam Acevedo representing Puerto Rico. The organisers have built a temporary facility with a 2,500 capacity adjacent to the Grand Velas & Spa Hotel in front of the spectacular Banderas Bay. The celebrations also include a Beach Soccer Tournament and a sailing competition. |
