Canada's women's Sevens squad won the Las Vegas Invitational Women's tournament - defeating the Netherlands 17-12. Quebec's Magali Harvey scored a crucial try to break a 12-12 tie and give Canada the title. Ghislaine Landry of Montreal and Vancouver's Mandy Marchak also scored tries for Canada in the victory, that saw the women play in front of 25,000 at Sam Boyd Stadium.
South Africa beat Fiji 24-14 in the Cup Final - to win its first tournament of the 2010/2011 series.
The women's teams next see action March 25-27 at the Hong Kong Sevens, the largest Sevens event on the IRB Series Calendar.
