London Marathon winner Shelly Woods will be back in the spotlight again next month after being named in the Norwich Union Great Britain and Northern Ireland Team for the VISA Paralympic World Cup in Manchester on 13 May.
Fresh from her thrilling victories in the wheelchair races on Sunday, the duo have been named in a strong athletics team which also includes IPC World Championships 200m silver medallist Elizabeth Clegg and Paralympic gold medallist Tanni Grey-Thompson.
Indeed, Manchester will mark the final appearance in Dame Tanni’s legendary career.
Tim Jones, UK Athletics Senior Performance Manager - Disability said: "Many of our British athletes will be looking for early indicators on their form going into this season and the progress they have made over the winter training period.
“The VISA Paralympic World Cup gives our key athletes an excellent opportunity to compete against some top quality international opposition, and provide a marker for the season."
