Stars line up for Artistic Gymnastics Grand Prix and World Cup
Top prospects of 28 nations across all the five continents will compete at the 2010 Glasgow Grand Prix and World Cup on Friday, 19th November (Qualifications) and Saturday, 20th November (Finals).
With the recently announced Nominative List of the participants, the quality of the 14th edition of this world-renowned event seems guaranteed! 34 of the 71 male gymnasts, and 20 of the 25 female gymnasts in the Glasgow List have competed at the recent World Championships in Rotterdam. On the top of the long list of stars are the fresh new World Champions on Floor in Rotterdam - Lauren Mitchell (AUS) and Eleftherios Kosmidis (GRE), along with the Russian Team Champion Ekaterina Kurbatova. Glasgow will also see the 2009 World Champion on P. Bars WANG Guanyin (CHN).
World medallists Louis Smith (GBR), Silver on Pommels and Daniel Purvis (Bronze on Floor) will also challenge the prizes along with the World Finalists Imogen Cairns (GBR), Vault; Alexander Shatilov (ISR), Floor, Donna Donny Truyens (BEL) and Saso Bertoncelj (SLO) - Pommels; Andrey Isaev (UKR) and Jeffrey Wammes (NED) - Vault and Samuel Piasecky (SVK), P. Bars.
