Commonwealth bank Southern Stars captain Jodie fields says that the even mix of skills and experience in the team will stand them in good stead for their tour of India.
"There are quite a lot of strengths (in the Australian women's team) particularly in our batting and also our bowling departments.
"I don't actually look at our team and feel like we have too many weaknesses. Our fielding has been quite good and we've adapted already to the conditions. I think the practice match against the Board XI was great for that, we really got out there and enjoyed that match and got right into the spirit of the game," Fields said.
Speaking ahead of her side's first match against the Indian women's team, Fields that her team had acclimatised well and that the tour would serve as important preparation for the 2012 ICC Women's World Twenty20.
"This tour of the Australian women's team is very important, it gives us a good chance to prepare in sub-continent conditions, which is (what it's) going to be like (in) Sri Lanka, so a good chance for us to get out on some spin-friendly wickets.
"So it's very important, we've come here, we really want to do well and win most of the games, if not all of them," Fields said.
The Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars will commence their series against the Indian women's team on Monday at Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium in Ahmedabad in the first of three One-Day International matches, with five T20 International matches to follow.
