Sir Trevor Brooking 2011 Grass Roots Football Show

Sir Trevor Brooking, the FA Director of Football Development, has officially launched the 2011 Grass Roots Football Show.

Europe's biggest grass roots show will kick off at the NEC for three days from Friday June3-Sunday June 5 with over 20,000 coaches, volunteers, supporters and youngsters expected to attend.

Joining Brooking at yesterday's launch event were former Newcastle United manager Chris Hughton, Birmingham City's England international footballer Karen Carney, leading football freestyler Billy Wyngrove and representatives and volunteers from the grass roots game.

Brooking said: "I am passionate about grass roots football and the development of our national game depends on a quality early experience.

"The Grass Roots Football Show is an essential platform for the whole football family to come together and enjoy everything that is great about our game.

"I am delighted to be supporting the Grass Roots Football Show and look forward to another fantastic event."
The Grass Roots Football Show is back for 2011 and promises to be bigger and better than ever."

A leading line-up of coaching, managerial and playing talent has again been lined up for this year.

Derby County captain Robbie Savage, former Coventry and Fulham manager Chris Coleman and ex Aston Villa player Dion Dublin will all make their Show debuts.

Former England manager Graham Taylor, Iain Dowie and Peter Taylor will all be back by popular demand.

Grass Roots Football Show debutant Hughton said; "The development of grass roots football in this country is vital to the game at all levels from the international and Premier League stage down.

"The opportunity for us all to interact and learn from each other during three days of football is very exciting and I look forward to meeting everyone at the NEC."

The Grass Roots Football Show also today announced a headline partnership deal with regional radio network brmb.
