Francesca Schiavone cruised into the third round of play today after quickly defeating Mirjana Lucic of Croatia 6-1, 6-1 in under an hour.
The seventh-seeded Italian had a much easier time against the 29-year-old Lucic than she did in her first round match, which went three sets and lasted two hours against Galina Voskoboeva of Kazakhstan.
