THE WORLD’S TOP ATHLETES COMPETE AT THE AVIVA LONDON GRAND PRIX

FINAL MAJOR COMPETITION BEFORE BEIJING OLYMPICS IN TWO WEEKS TIME

This weekend saw the UK and the world’s top athletes compete at the Aviva London Grand Prix – which for most, was the final competition before the Beijing Olympics just two weeks away.

The Aviva London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace was arguably this season’s strongest athletics meeting outside the Olympics, featuring many of the world’s best athletes, and crucial for them as they finalise their preparations and gauge their form against the competition.

Okoro's win in the 800 metres was a top highlight at the Aviva London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace. Not only was she put fourth on the UK all time –list, she also broke her personal best by a third of a second to post 1min 58.46sec.

Some of the other winning athletes in the webvideo include:

• Kelly Sotherton – the 31 year old from Birmingham took first in the 4 Event Challenge
• Marilyn Okoro – the Londoner took first in the 800m in a personal best of 1min 58.45sec, fourth on the all-time British list.
