If you are 50 years or older this calendar year, and looking for a way to compete and test yourself against others your age, then join in with nearly 1,000 others from around the state and country by signing up today for the 2010 Iowa Senior Olympics!!
The games will take place at a variety of venues around the Des Moines area on June 4-5 and 17-20. Eighteen sports and activities will be offered, which will comprise 68 individual events. Sports range from Golf to Track & Field; Swimming to Softball and Football Throw; and Badminton to Bowling. Over 1,500 Gold, Silver or Bronze medals will be awarded by the end of the Games.

Register now through May 21 for $30. After May 22, the registration fee will be $35 per participant. The registration fee for individuals who register on the day of the event is $40. June 5 is the last day that teams participating may register.
Talent levels will range from people who are participating for the first time to those who have set many records. The top four finishers in each event will qualify for the National Senior Olympics next year in Houston. The top three finishers will be awarded Olympic-style medals.
