What is your background in Cycling?
I started as a bit of fun and to stay fit when i was unable to swim back in 2005. I've won 6 World titles and 2 golds in Beijing since then. As well as being the first Paralympian to win an individual able-bodied national title.
How long have you been involved in the sport and what was your first event?
5 years and first event was 2005 European Championships.
What would you like to achieve in the next 5 years?
Gold in London
What are your strongest points?
I am physically and mentally strong and strangely enjoy the pain of pushing yourself.
What would you say is your most prized cycling possession?
My rainbow jerseys
What would you class as your best ride or position to date and why?
My fastest ever 3000m ride to win the world title in 2009
riding to a world record with a broken collarbone to win the 3000m world title in 2007
Who is your favourite sports person and why?
Tough to pick just one, i like anyone who is a born winner, shows passion for their sport and is willing to push themselves to achieve the best.
Have you got any advice for any young people thinking of getting involved in cycling?
You have to enjoy yourself and be prepared to work hard

How do you relax after a race?
I have a meal with family and then sleep!
