Dariam Acevedo (pictured) and Yarleen Santiago of Puerto Rico have reached the podium at each of the three stops on the NORCECA Beach Volleyball tour to date | Boca Chica, Dominican Republic, – Puerto Rico’s Yarleen Santiago and Dariam Acevedo won the women’s gold medals respectively at the Boca Chica Beach Volleyball Tournament, the third leg of the 2010 NORCECA Circuit, on Sunday.
Winners of first stop of the regional competition at Cayman Islands, Santiago and Acevedo edged Cuba’s Niriam Sinal and Kirenia Ballar in a thrilling contest 2-1 (19-21, 21-19, 21-19).
Miramontes and Virgen, winners of the previous stop at El Salvador, topped Cuba’s Karell Piña and Sergio Gonzalez by the score of 2-1 (17-21, 21-15, 15-10).
Santiago and Acevedo, who have now finished on the podium in the first three tournaments of the year as they claimed bronze in El Salvador, reached the finals with a 2-1 (22-20, 20-22, 15-12) victory over Costa Rica’s Ingrid Morales and Natalia Alfaro, while Sinal and
