Morgan Pressel fired a bogey-free, 7-under-par 65 (69-65=134, -10) in the second round of the Wegmans LPGA to take a one-stroke lead into weekend competition with a 36-hole score of 10-under 134.
Pressel and fellow 2007 major championship winner Suzann Pettersen (70-65=135, -9) broke the tournament record for low second-round score at the Wegmans LPGA (previous low was a 67 carded by In-Kyung Kim) with their 7-under 65s that collectively accounted for one eagle, 14 birdies and just two bogeys. In addition, Pressel's two-round score of 10-under 134 breaks the previous bests set at Locust Hill CC by I.K. Kim and Mi Hyun Kim.
