Stuttgart. Big success for the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix: the WTA Tour players have voted the time-honoured Stuttgart tournament as their favourite Premier 700 category tournament worldwide in 2014. After receiving the award in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012, it is the sixth time the honour has gone to the event in the Porsche Arena. “We’re absolutely delighted to have won the award. It comes from the players and shows they feel at home here. It makes it really quite special,” said Tournament Director Markus Günthardt. “For us it’s a renewed sign of the confidence they have in us and it’ll stimulate us to do everything to continue to make the tournament that little bit better still.” 
The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2015, for which seven Top 10 players – headed by Maria Sharapova and Angelique Kerber – have already entered, will take place in Stuttgart’s Porsche Arena from 18 to 26. April.
