Pink Ba-Bas Name Squad for Sunshine 7s

This year will be the biggest event to date, spanning the whole weekend: Friday 27th April sees the schools tag competition; Saturday 28th a ladies’ event; then on Sunday 29th, the men’s tournament, featuring 32 top 7s teams, and a men’s vets’ tournament.

In conjunction with Wooden Spoon (Sussex), all proceeds from the event will go towards helping Chailey Heritage School raise money for a ‘Living Skills Area’ to help the older children to develop a degree of independence when they leave school; and the Opportunity Playgroup in East Grinstead.

Pink Ba-Bas Squad for the Sunshine 7s: Sam Wilson (Richmond), Cally Hocknell (Harlequins), Jo Kingston (Richmond), Kate Clements (Richmond), Katy Rule (Henley), Michelle Roast (Wasps), Sarah Paddon (Basingstoke), Tamsin Reed (Old Albanians), Mel Antao (Harlequins) and Jessie Matiaszuk (Richmond).

The Pink Ba-Bas looked in impressive form under the leadership of Captain Sam Wilson at the Old Caterhamians Easter Tournament, winning all five of their pool games and only dropping 7 points. They went on to win the final against Camberley 46-0. The Sunshine 7s will provide an excellent opportunity for the Ba-Bas to dust off their 7s skills in preparation for the Heineken Kinsale 7s in May where they return with two teams to improve on their Plate win of last year.
