Peru and Croatia reflect on their final match before Group 3's Final Four

Angela Leyva scored a game-high 26 points as Peru beat Croatia 3-1 (16-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-22), tuning up strongly for the Final Four of Group 3 of the FIVB World Grand Prix 2016 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Mauro Marasciulo, Peru, coach - "The crowd was an important factor for the victory but we know that in Almaty it’s going to be a different situation. What we need to do now is study our opponents and train hard. The team is in good condition to win but we know that in Kazakhstan, Croatia will be a stronger team than today, because they won’t feel the pressure that the local crowd showed here."

Angela Leyva, Peru - "In Algeria we didn’t have the support of the crowd, although we tried to do our best. Now we have to go to Kazakhstan knowing that here (in Chiclayo) all the people support us."

Mirolav Aksentijevic, Croatia, coach - "I want to congratulate Peru, they played very well. I was not focused on how they use the strong support of the crowd. We’re happy because we qualified for the Final Four in Almaty."

Mia Jerkov, Croatia, captain - "I think Peru played very well. We had problems with our block and defence. On the other side, they started to defend very well and I think that’s what made the difference. I’m happy because it was a good match, a great crowd, we had a good time in Chiclayo, so congratulations to Peru."
